Photography, Concept, Post processing- Asmi Shetty
The sister duo, founders of the design label Blueprint, have been so kind and patient all through the making of this post. The first thought that crossed my mind when I saw their collection was how every piece of clothing they made had a raw edge to it with their intricate designs and interesting cuts and still balanced very well with a touch of femininity . It’s unconventionally beautiful.
The black rose in the pictures is honestly everything I need right now, but, it isn’t real (heartbreaking) it’s a rose painted black by me for the project. I’d have it all over my house and my hair if I had access to it.
It’s been quite hectic and physically and emotionally frustrating to shoot a series all by yourself. To multitask and do various jobs at once, from brainstorming for a concept to the final draft of the published post, it takes so much time, patience and effort. However, all through this tiresome process I’ve been always focused on what I want and what I choose to portray. A one person production has taught me to be self reliant and independent- I love it.
